You Can Look Like Jesus

God is calling you higher! You can walk in the manifestation of God’s glory and be an expression of His godliness.

We are entering into one of the greatest outpourings of the Holy Spirit in history but one of the greatest calling you will ever have is to be conformed into the image of Christ.

But refuse profane and foolish myths. Instead, exercise in the ways of godliness. For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable in all things, holding promise for the present life and also for the life to come.

1 Timothy 4:7-8

Paul tells Timothy how to be a good minister of Jesus and it starts with godliness. Even if you aren’t called to vocational ministry – you are still a minister of Christ on the earth. Godliness is reflecting the nature of the Kingdom of God in your everyday life.

The more you intentionally practice reflecting the nature of God – the easier it will become when life gets tough.

Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, and in purity.

1 Timothy 4:12

Paul goes on to tell Timothy to live as an example. People around you should be able to imitate your speech, your behavior, your faith and it glorify God.

You are a new creation in Christ and your behavior should line up with His reality.

Your anointing is increasing, and you never want your anointing to outweigh your character.

Character is developed as you intentionally cultivate your relationship with God and obey Him.

Meditate on these things. Give yourself completely to them, that your progress may be known to everyone.

1 Timothy 4:15

I’m just as excited as you about the manifestations of God we are experiencing – but we have to take time to focus on getting our character ready to carry more of His glory.
