What is the greatest miracle you need today?
The greatest miracle you need isn’t necessarily the most obvious, it is the one keeping you from fully pursuing God.
I am believing this is your day for a miracle so you can more passionately pursue Christ and walk in all He has for you.
What do you need today?
Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse.
Mark 5:25-26
Does it feel like the circumstances you are facing seem impossible? Maybe you have given everything to fix whatever is broken but despite your best effort in the natural – it still isn’t working.
About a year ago, I received a late-night call from a woman asking if I would pray resurrection over a young man she knew. As the conversation was ending, she mentioned he could be cremated before I arrived to pray resurrection…
I asked for her to repeat herself because surely this lady wasn’t asking me to pray resurrection over someone already cremated. Talk about an impossible situation!
After realizing resurrection after cremation is Biblical (we came from the dust of the ground) I started asking God for faith. I believe we will see resurrections after cremation, but it didn’t happen in this instance.
What are you expecting from God?
When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”
Mark 5:27-28
The woman with the issue of blood had an expectation God was going to heal her if she could connect with Him.
Have you become so bound by disappointment and discouragement you aren’t expecting God to do anything when you receive prayer, you are simply going through the motions?
We had a couple visit a service and the wife had been in an accident resulting in 16 broken bones in her leg and hip. We had never met the couple, but they came to church expecting a miracle.
Toward the end of worship, we began praying for everyone needing a miracle and after walking her up and down the aisle a couple of times she was completely healed – yay Jesus!
On Monday when her physical therapist came for a visit she was discharged because she didn’t have any issues with her leg or hip.
But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ”
Mark 5:31
Jesus is accessible and touchable to everyone but His power flows when there is an expectation for it.
Where are you finding your identity?
And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”
Mark 5:34
This passage is the only time Jesus calls a woman daughter in the scripture.
God doesn’t just want you to receive the miracle you need, He also wants to restore your identity.
You are a son or daughter of God before anything else. Your relationships, career titles, and natural accolades are not where you find your identity – it is in Christ alone.
The story of the woman with the issue of blood is right in the middle of the story about Jesus resurrecting Jairus’s daughter from the dead.
And behold, one of the rulers of the synagogue came, Jairus by name. And when he saw Him, he fell at His feet and begged Him earnestly, saying, “My little daughter lies at the point of death. Come and lay Your hands on her, that she may be healed, and she will live.” So Jesus went with him, and a great multitude followed Him and thronged Him.
Mark 5:22-24
Jairus would have been responsible for keeping the woman with the issue of blood out of the temple because she was considered unclean.
If your issue has kept you from the place God has called you – today is your day of breakthrough!
Ask God to show you the things keeping you from seeking His face. Spend time reading scripture about being a part of God’s family and His amazing plans for you.
